By Shahanaaz Habib
KUALA LUMPUR: Malay Rulers are not decorative symbolic monuments merely there to carry out ceremonial duties and roles, said Perak regent Raja Nazrin Shah.
He said Rulers have a special place in society and their views should not be taken lightly because their position gives them the ability to influence and determine direction.
"Rulers are not people who are blind, deaf or mute. Everything that happens is within their range of vision, hearing or speech.
"In today's era of information age where communication transcends borders, the lifestyle of Rulers and royalty too are no longer confined within palace walls," he said in the Premier Talk on The Monarchy Institution at Intan on Monday.
Raja Nazrin said the constitutional monarch system involves a sharing of power between the Rulers and the people and the Rulers are often the "source of reference" whenever there was a crisis among the... (more)

Singapore Fireworks Festival
2008
Hi Guys,
Sorry for not updating my blog for so long cause of my busy schedule and of course out dinner with friends contribute alittle factor to my time spend on writing my blog. Last Saturday went to see fireworks with my family members, plus Missy Fish and Missy Cheerful and Mr Blue. Well, it was like 10 people going for the fireworks thing! Nice show indeed! I guess fireworks shall always be my favourite! Nice display but the upset will be continuous downpour. It has been raining for the past few days and it dampens alot of our mood! Same goes to mine...
Its my official one year working in this company and was thinking whether should I leave the company cause right now, its so politics and low pay that I am getting which I feel that its very taxing to me and well, I don't really learn that much though. Overall, its just the $ factor that all of us are working forward to.
Here are some fireworks snapshot!

movies are my life!
Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Movies!
Actually, during my free time, which is from 5 in the afternoon onwards, I lose myself in them. Hehehe. This Taiwan thing actually serves 2 purpose: 1 is for my thesis, of course, which btw I'm trying to rush at the moment, and 2 is for me to catch up on the movies I've missed. But it's just not movies I've been having my eyes glued to since day 1, but I've also become addicted to j- and t-dramas (given that I'm currently in a place that's visibly and admittedly a mixture of both). The Dark Knight I've watched at the Venice Theater with some friends, and I absolutely LOVED the Joker! Heath brought him to life perfectly, there's no doubt about that for me and I find that THAT was his greatest, albeit last, performance ever! Surpassed even his confused, caught-in-the-middle...
